Can Everyone Chant the Navarna Mantra?
The Navarna mantra of Devi contains 9 syllables. It is Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Vicche. However, Om is also included in this mantra to increase its overall power. This mantra is usually received at the time of initiation within Shakta traditions.
Since this is a heavily loaded mantra with so many facets, it is important that a sadhaka never chants this mantra without proper guidance. If recited without caution and sufficient restrictions the mantra has the capacity to disturb the psychosomatic system of the chanter.
At a subtler plane, it can block the Nadis of the chanter, because the Nadis are not prepared to hold the energy of the Mantra.

But under proper careful guidance, restrictions, rules and guardrails, the mantra elevates consciousness and alters the entire life of the sadhaka within some years of dedicated practice.
For the Non-Initiated
There are other positive and definite ways that help seekers take a middle path that offers the same benefits of the Beeja Mantras.
We at YantraChants.com have experimented for years under the tutelage of our Guru Parampara that one need not enter the fire of Beejas directly. Instead, utilize the entire heat of the beejas through a compatible spiritual device.
Thus in our Parampara, an energized Chamunda Yantra is said to bestow benefits similar to the Navarna Mantra without having to undergo the challenges of intense sadhana.

A Sadhaka who undergoes tremendous discipline and burns himself through the Navarna Mantra under a Guru himself becomes the Yantra. This is an advanced stage and very esoteric.
Alternatively one can worship a powerful Chamunda Yantra to lead a peaceful and happy life under Devi’s grace. Thus the Chamunda Yantra is a powerful alternative that does not restrict the seeker in terms of strict rules, but reflects the benefits of the Navarna Mantra.
The Significance of the Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Vicche Mantra is profound. Meditating on its import and chanting it under guru guidance is said to attract many benefits. We shall discuss some benefits of the Mantra.
Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaye Vichche Namaha Mantra Benefits
Similar benefits are reported for the Shri Chandi Yantra and Shri Chamunda Yantra.
1. Improves Mood and Raises Consciousness

When chanting Om with the Navarna Mantra, it integrates the personal mind with universal consciousness. Focusing on Om while chanting this mantra burns away impurities. One begins to acknowledge others as part of Nature’s larger ecosystem, thereby reducing anger and irritability.
The mental space gets cleared and more aligned towards Universal Will. This means our actions shall become a source of joy and not cause misery. We start taking the decisions that bring long term happiness and do not chase small-short term gains.
One starts prioritizing Dharma over personal gains. This pattern creates positive subtle impressions in the mind. Continuously chanting the mantra while performing Dharmic activities and duties makes a person more grounded and less swayed away by fleeting experiences.
Even amidst chaos, something inside us shall emit calmness. This is the spirit soul (Atman) that sheds its light brightly, so that the darkness of external situations does not delude us.
An advanced sadhaka develops deep love and shall receive the Grace to bless others as a result of chanting the Navarna mantra over years of correct practice.
2. Removes Enmity, Black Magic Effects and Fear

The presence of Chamundaye in the Mantra primarily focuses on resolving enmity. It has the power of subjugating evil forces that may be gross or subtle. Sometimes, there may be no external threat.
The problem may be our own fears and insecurity. They make us feel that others are potential threats. However, this does not deny the possibility of a realworld enemy. In both possibilities Chamunda Yantra and the Navarna Mantra prove effective. Devi is called Chamunda upon slaying the demons Chanda and Munda. Symbolically they represent dark energies.
They embody hostility and were playing the role of an adversary of Devi. Chanting this Mantra on a Lal Chandan Mala creates a protective shield around the chanter.

Lal- Chandan Japa Mala for Shakti Sadhana
- Manifests a Protective Spiritual Shield
- Destroys the Evil Eye and Dark Energies
- Subjugates All Kinds of Enmity and Rivalry
- Eradicates Internal Fears and Insecurities
- Energized with Specific Intent and Suitable Mantra by Guruji
- Number of Beads- 108

Envy, evil eye, dark tantric effects, and negativity are destroyed with regular sadhana and remembrance of the Divine Mother.
3. Increases Focus and Intelligence

The Aim Beejakshara facilitates learning. Chanting the Navarna Mantra while visualizing Aim activates the Ajna Chakra.
This is the seat of all learning. When the Ajna Chakra is balanced, it manifests as increased focus and grasping ability. The learning blocks begin to dissolve and help retain only valid information in the mind. It makes room for intuitive understanding over mere mechanical assessment.
One understands a subject matter not only theoretically but also from a practical standpoint. The Navarna Mantra is therefore suitable for spiritual pursuits as well as sharpening intellectual understanding.
4. Balances the 7 Chakras

This mantra is an elaborate blueprint of the human system. It works on the energy centers of the body because of which the sadhaka’s perception about life becomes more refined.
Aim focuses on the Ajna and Vishuddha Chakras. It increases wisdom and intuition which are benefits of a balanced Ajna Chakra. The chanter’s discriminatory powers remain heightened through sustained and controlled practice of the Navarna mantra.
Aim refines speech and improves communication. The Aim Beeja also indirectly influences the Swadhishthana Chakra as it represents the Creative Potency. It improves openness and creative expression which manifest through music and poetry. These are also associated with the Vishuddha Chakra.

Hreem and Kleem primarily focus on the heart center (Anahata). But their functional roles differ.
Kleem creates attraction and increases love and affection. Due to its association with Devi Mahakali- Muladhara and Manipura Chakra are also strengthened.
Hreem brings warmth and nurtures relationships. While Kleem attracts family, friends and well wishers, Hreem brings unity.

It sustains these relationships transforming desire into affection and temporary interaction into an everlasting bond. Therefore, Kleem and Hreem complement each other.
Finally, Chamundaye Vicche primarily works on the Sahasrara Chakra. While the other Beejas focus on enhancing personality and abilities of the chanter, this portion of the Mantra takes the chanted closer to the Divine Mother. Here, Devi’s full energy is explored. It cuts through illusions, fears, etc.
How a Devotee Experienced Devi’s Grace
A devotee once approached us for receiving initiation into the Navarna Mantra Sadhana. For maintaining discretion, we shall call her by the pseudonym ‘Aparna’.
Aparna ji is based in New Zealand although her roots are in Bihar. From childhood she was trained in Devi Puja as part of her family tradition. She is well settled and happily married. She describes a phase of spiritual awakening that was not so comfortable and easy to understand for her, a couple of years back.

She would skim through the internet to understand what she was going through. She read a lot about Kundalini Yoga and Devi Mantras. In her quest, she came in touch with YantraChants.com. She was inspired to connect over a call.
She described an inner calling, as if Devi urged her to find a Guru. She had vivid dreams, compelled by which she travelled to India on the occasion of Kumbh. There she interacted with many saints of various sampradayas. The spiritual diversity had left her more perplexed than sorted.
After returning to New Zealand she continued her search online when she connected with us for the first time. She expressed her wish to receive initiation from Guruji. However, as per the rules of Mantra Sadhana, Guruji first advised that she take up Durga Nama Mantra Sadhana for inner purification.
Based on his instructions, we sent Aparna ji a PDF with the process that was tailored for her. Aparna ji was a non-vegetarian then. Yet, in the beginning phase there were no rules and restrictions applied to Her. The intent was to begin some form of prayer to find grounding.

In due course of time, she reconnected with us and enquired whether she could worship the Chamunda Yantra. This resonated with her sadhana process. Aparna ji continues to worship the Yantra with faith and is aspiring to receive initiation for the Navarna Mantra Sadhana.

Shri Chamunda Yantra
- Reduces Friction within Close Bonds
- Protects Oneself & Family Against Black Magic & Tantrik Effects
- Bestows Navarna Mantra Benefits with Daily Worship
- Removes Obstacles and Brings Prosperity
- Energized with Birth Details During Brahma Muhurtha
- Size- 5x7 inches
- Detailed PDF that guides through the Installation Process, Worship and Mantra
With Devi and Guruji’s grace she has been able to change her food habits and adopt a Sattvik lifestyle. We believe that such transformation is preparing her spiritually to receive the Navarna Mantra Diksha and enter the field of Devi’s infinite grace.
Many seekers like Aparna ji have reported that Devi’s yantra and the suggested mantras make them feel that they are being looked after.
Another devotee shared that during an emergency she felt as if Devi had made all the necessary arrangements for her. Everything happened at the right time and she received support from unknown people.
When devotees share such experiences with us, we feel deeply grateful to Guruji and our Sampradaya.
Health Benefits Due to Mantra Recitation
The Health benefit we are about to discuss comes more due to the discipline of chanting rather than the mantra itself. Here the Niyama (spiritual routine) of Sadhana is the key focus over the Mantric energy for curing health issues. This does not mean that symptoms should be ignored or treated. For health conditions, Sadhana should be viewed as a powerful support system.
The Navarna mantra increases the inner alignment of the 3 nerve currents, Ida, Pingala and Sushumna, thereby giving untold health benefits.

There are many Yogis who have attained so much practice that by chanting Mantras like the Navarna mantra they have attained great deal of control of their body parameters.
A study published in the British Medical Journal found that the rhythmic recitation of mantras naturally slowed breathing. It sets it to the optimum level to approximately six breaths per minute. This breathing rhythm has a positive impact on cardiovascular health.
It also improved a metric called baroreflex sensitivity that is an indicator telling us how well our body automatically regulates blood pressure changes. While the study did not examine the Navarna Mantra specifically, it is seen as its benefits as its Mantra Sadhana involves rhythmic mantra recitation.
So, the benefits of the Navarna Mantra and Chamunda/ Chandi Yantra are many. Initiated Sadhakas experience them through the mantra, while others through worshipping the Yantras.
